RITCHIE NAVIGATION ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCTS/PRODUCT MODELS
PEMBROKE, Mass. (July 20, 2005) – Ritchie
Navigation, whose world headquarters are located in Pembroke,
Mass., today announced the introduction of two new compasses for
the 2005-2006 boating season.
The new RitchieSport X-21s are designed for powerboats from 15
to 25 feet. This gauge compass is being offered in three models
– the X-21BB, featuring a black bezel with a black 2”
dial, the X-21BU with a black bezel and a blue 2” dial,
and the X-21WW with a white bezel and white 2” dial. All
three fit a 2” gauge hole and can accommodate dashes sloped
up to 30 degrees. LED night-lighting is standard on each. A quick
sure back-clamp makes for easy installation into a standard 2”
gauge.
The X-21s are available in clear clamshell packaging, with a
5-year warranty, and an MSRP of $33.99 each.
“The X-21 Series is Ritchie’s newest entry into Dash
Mount Compasses” said J. Stephen Sprole, vice president
of sales and marketing at Ritchie. “With the superior LED
back lighting, variety of bezels, easy electrical connectors and
back clamp; it has everything the OEM or DIYer needs.” he
added.
Ritchie Navigation is also introducing a new model in the popular
Explorer Series – the Explorer
S-OFF90, designed for tiller steer fishing boats.
The surface mount compass S-OFF90 features a unique dial that
allows the compass to be mounted on the gunnel. The dial is 90
degrees off and allows the helmsman to see the course he is steering
while looking across the boat. The compass features include green
night-lighting, built-in compensators, black housing and a black
2 3/4” dial. Two buttons allow easy removal for storage.
The S-OFF90 is available in clear clamshell packaging, with a
5-year warranty, and an MSRP of $56.99 each.
“Tiller steer boats are rapidly gaining popularity in the
fishing market” Sprole said. “The S-OFF90 is the right
compass for this unique application”.
